"Entertainment Weekly" Magazine - Sat., Apr. 5

This magazine is a guilty pleasure to read with information about movies, TV shows, books, video games, actors/actresses, music, comments from readers, and interviews with directors, stars, producers, and writers. The reporters also cover Comic-Con. There's a two-page, 10-item "Must List" with the best in movies, music, video games and books. I devour each and every issue.

This is no ordinary entertainment magazine with lots of photos and very little writing. "Entertainment Weekly" is well written with in-depth stories. The writers elucidate on what's behind the scenes. I find it engaging, educational and intelligently written.

I wouldn't want to be without it. I read it shamelessly. Guilty as charged.

  1. I've picked up a copy now and then in a waiting room and you are right-- I'm always surprised how much I enjoy it. Very unlike People and Us.

    1. I find Entertainment Weekly to be much more in depth than People or Us, which seem to be more about the photos and gossip.

    2. Not to say that I don't enjoy picking up a copy of People or Us in a hair salon to see the Best and Worst Dressed, and read some of their articles.

  2. Eeeegads, Susan. Paulette watches those shows on TV so she'd love that magazine too. Me? There's nothing in the world I find more boring and nauseating than reading about Hollywood celebrities......unless it's reading about Royal family members.

  3. Rick,
Bob's with you on that. However, he does occasionally read a movie review or interview in the magazine if it intrigues him.

  4. Cool. I used to read The National Enquirer. I could hardly wait to visit the Mama so I could read her back copies to find out about all the trash on actors, politicians, and other celebrities. Now, that I've been living with the Mama, I rarely look at it, even when fetching it from the mailbox for her. :-)

  5. I, too like Entertainment Weekly but then I like People as well. I can find something of interest in just about any magazine.
