If that is the case, often that little piece can be restored using the Recovery Console. But if it is not something you are familiar with, best to have a techie do it for you.<br /><br />Lots of people fail to "defrag" their hard drives on a routine basis, this can make damaged boot sectors more likely. And... ALL hard drives fail eventually, so you should always have backups.
