The Big Bib BBQ with Buddies - Thurs., Nov. 17, 2016

The evening we spent with Mike and Sandy Mills on Sunday was so much fun, we wanted to get together again. On Thursday night we decided to go out to dinner at The Big Bib BBQ. Mike and Sandy had been wanting to go there after reading all the good reviews online.

The Big Bib is about a 20 minute drive northeast from Travelers World RV Resort. The restaurant is very unassuming in a strip mall location. Food is ordered from the counter when you arrive.

After ordering, we seated ourselves at a table and chatted while we waited for our food to come out. Bob and I must have ordered something that was quick to prepare because we received our food so far in advance of Mike and Sandy that we were just about finished eating when their food came out. Apparently the fresh catfish Sandy ordered took a long time to prepare and cook. All of us enjoyed our dinners.

Back at the RV park, we grabbed our Qwerkle game and headed over to Mike and Sandy's MH which was across the park road from ours. We had an invitation for dessert and a challenge to play more Qwerkle.

Sandy served us homemade banana pudding for dessert which was very yummy! Mmmmm, we ate it right up.

Here's a better view of the game in play
Once again, Sandy and I beat the boys in the final scores so we retain bragging rights.

It was a lovely evening, and one we were sorry to see come to an end so soon, but Bob and I had to be up early on Friday to work.

Thank you, Mike and Sandy, for invite to your place. It sure is nice. We hope to see you again soon.

  1. You guys were a bunch of fun! We're so lucky to have plopped down right across the street--made our San Antonio experience a real treat. And yes, we liked Quirkle so much that we bought our own set. There will need to be a rematch to regain some of my dignity! Glad you're having fun in Hawaii; we're trying not to be jealous!
