Shopping Cart Escalator - Sunday, May 11, 2015

Here's something new...a shopping cart escalator. The grocery stores in Texas are H-E-B (the owner's initials or "Here Everything's Better," take your pick). A new store was built near us recently. They tore down the old store and built a brand new, larger store where the old one used to be. How did they do that? Well, glad you asked.

They built a parking lot on the ground level and built the store upstairs. This necessitated a way to get shopping carts from the store to your car. This store has a shopping cart escalator and an elevator. It's really cool. The type of materials used in the escalator do not allow the shopping cart to roll while it's on the escalator, but it does roll in the store and in the parking lot.

I love this store, especially their roasted turkey breast. Many stores sell roasted chickens, but I far prefer the turkey. It is moist and delicious.
