It rained off and on throughout the day, but the temperature warmed up by about 15 degrees as we reached central Michigan. So much nicer. No rain this evening as we drove around Lansing.
The Mackinac Bridge was the highlight of our drive. It's the fifth longest suspension bridge in the world and connects the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan at the Straits of Mackinac.

Once we settled into our campground (Lansing's Cottonwood Campground), we drove around downtown Lansing to get our bearings for tomorrow's state Capitol Volksmarch. We originally thought about taking the 5th wheel downtown and parking it on the street but nixed that idea once we checked it out in the pickup. We asked our campground if we could stay until 1 p.m. and they said it would be okay.
Tomorrow, we will drive to Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Onward. Travel Bug out.
