My Mom, Margaret, makes marvelous meatloaf. And she was trained to be a model many moons ago. How's that for a start to the A-to-Z blogging challenge "M" word?
Seriously, though, she is a sweetheart, best friend, teacher, music lover, exerciser, baker, thinker, party planner, sensitive soul, grandmother, walker, gardener, calligrapher, artist, necklace maker, excellent cook, nature lover, bird watcher, ocean goer, traveler, card player, nurturer, Portland Trailblazer fan, hiker, reader, and mother.
Throughout my life, she has been an example of how to live life to the fullest. When we were young, she introduced us (my sister, brother and I) to the library, arts and crafts, cooking, what constituted good manners, and how to treat other people. She laughed with us, cried with us, empathized with us, and consoled us. Her example created three upstanding, well-adjusted (most of the time) members of society.
What an amazing woman. I am honored to be her daughter.
Thanks, Mom!
With love,
Susan
