Today We Lost Two Hours - Sat., Mar. 8

We took our time in Carlsbad, New Mexico hooking up the 5th wheel, and headed out on the road at 11:30 a.m. Mountain Time. In a short while, we lost our first hour heading into Central Time when we came back to Texas.

The Beast is back in business, beautifully besting the hills in west Texas - no problems at all with our Ford F350 pulling Rigamarole along the highways and byways.

When we left the RV park this morning, we knew we didn't want to drive all the way to San Antonio today...it's just too far when you're pulling a 33' 5th wheel. So we debated on Fort Stockton. (Nope, we were just getting started.) Ozona had no RV parks that we wanted to stay in. We did see one man camp for the oil field workers - no thanks.

We thought Junction sounded just right. I called North Llano River RV Park to book a site for the night. Sharon, who answered the phone, was so sweet and helpful. They were out of reservable sites, but they had four non-reservable overflow sites with 30 amp power for $25 per night. We were about 1-1/2 hours away and hoped by the time we got there that an overflow site would still be available. (It's spring break time in Texas!!) It was.

So here we are, tucked away nicely for the night. We have already set our clocks ahead one hour for Daylight Savings Time, so the clock now says 12:15 a.m. That means it's time for sleepy bye.

Nighty night. Travel Bug out.
