Happy Birthday to my dear husband! Life with you is fun, exciting, revelatory, deep, and loving. I can't wait to see what the next year holds in store for us. You are my soul mate and partner in adventures. I love you so much!
Both of us worked today. Bob left work at 1:00 pm, went to the gym, then braved the grocery store to buy ingredients for his birthday dinner tonight. I worked until 4:30 pm, then went home to cook dinner.
Every year on Christmas Eve (Bob's birthday), we have a traditional spaghetti dinner (Bob's favorite meal). We also had mashed yams and steamed asparagus.
After dinner, we headed out to see Christmas lights. Our destination tonight was the Windcrest neighborhood on San Antonio's northeast side.
We had a general idea of where the neighborhood was located. When we found the neighborhood, there was no doubt about it. A long, line of cars was snaking through cul-de-sacs and crawling along slower than a snail's pace. Right at the beginning, we parked and walked to some of the award-winning homes.

This Second Place: Joyful award winner had so much going on, it took a lot of pictures to convey what they have here.

After we got past the three homes above, the cars thinned out a bit. When we got to the next traffic jam, we parked to get a picture of the Windcrest Christmas tree by the fire station and gave a donation to the firemen.
Once we got back in the car, we went the opposite direction of the big line of cars onto less crowded
streets and saw some pretty lights. However, to see more of the biggest
light displays, we had to get back in the line of cars.

The next two photos are of the same house. We loved the blue lights. They also had Christmas music and their lights were synced to the music.
Over an hour later, we had our fill of Christmas lights and headed home.
My blog plans include catching up with the rest of November and December. Two more cruise day blogs need to be written and some other stuff I haven't recorded for posterity yet.
Everyone have a wonderful Christmas Day, however you choose to celebrate it. If you're driving, please take care on the roads or stay put until the weather clears. Some areas are predicting snow, ice, 50+ mph winds...those are pretty treacherous driving conditions.
