As soon as you walk in the door, there is so much to look at: art, pirates, fun signs, waiters and waitresses dressed in all kinds of costumes, unique seating areas. We didn't end up in one of the cool "Hobbitt" holes. We were in a booth out in the middle of the action. Our waitress was Katniss Everdeen (Hunger Games) and the manager was the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.

One of the more private rooms. Hippie waiter, perhaps? |

A waitress from a back room was dressed as Tinkerbell. She had the party of eight people from her table "fly" (using their menus as wings) all the way to the Salad Car. Fun and entertaining.
The food was good but not outstanding. I had shrimp scampi on angel hair pasta with alfredo sauce. It came with steamed broccoli. Bob had grilled chicken with steamed vegetables.
The main reasons to go there are for fun and visual variety. You can expect lots of children running around the restaurant collecting signatures from their favorite characters. They are given a folded card to have the characters sign. Besides Katniss, Tinkerbell, and The Queen of Hearts, we saw Spiderman, Pocahontas, Zorro, a hippie (oh, wait, he was a customer - just kidding), and Cinderella. There were others: some I didn't recognize, others I can't remember.
Th-th-th-that's all folks!
It was just what we were looking for.
Sounds like an interesting place. Hope you're feeling better, looks like the weather may cooperate for our walk on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteActually, I feel fine except for this cough that is annoying the heck out of me. We're excited about walking and meeting you, Mui and Erin on Sunday! Be prepared to take a few photos.
