Go Blazers! - Fri., Jan.17

Yay! Portland Trailblazers win it. What an exciting game! Bob took Randall and I to see the game at the AT&T Center Arena in San Antonio tonight. If this is any indication what a playoff game will be like between these two teams, we're going to be hoarse during the finals!

Work, work, work this week and again next week. I work three days at the RV park office this week, plus I worked one day as a doctor's office receptionist and one day at an insurance agent's office. Next week, will be three days at the RV park office, two days at the insurance office and one day in the doctor's office. Whew. I get tired just thinking about it.

Never did find my hearing aid. Looks like I'll have to order a replacement so I can hear again.

I went to see Her at the Regal Quarry Cinemas. Not my cup of tea. I was bored, thought it was weird, it was slow with soft music, and I fell asleep. Didn't miss much as far as I could tell. Through the operating system interface verbal sex/masturbation scene, the screen went black for about a minute. Definitely not a movie I would recommend and I usually like futuristic movies. Save your money and go see The Hunger Games or The Hobbitt: The Desolation of Smaug or The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Anything but this drivel. One star out of five. As Bob would say, "Tell us what you really think!"

Today at the RV park office was "one of those days." Every other interaction seemed to be a problem. At one point, I was helping customers with check-in, more customers were waiting to check in and others were waiting to buy items from our store. I watch as a pickup towing a trailer pulls up in front of our building and blocks all the parking sites. A man walks in and stops. Loudly, so everyone can hear, he announces, "You need to do something about the dog poop in the park! Someone was walking their dog and it took a dump in my site."  I started to empathize with him that people need to pick up after their dogs. He responded, "Oh, they did pick up after their dog, but it left a terrible smell. I paid for that site and I should not have to smell dog poop." Then he turned around and stomped out the door. Everyone in the place looked at each other like, "What was that?!" I think someone got up on the wrong side of the bed!

It was that kind of day.

Sunday we will go to our friend Susan's house to watch the football games in the afternoon/evening. I plan to make guacamole and bring chips and a veggie tray.

Enjoy your weekend. Live long and prosper.

  1. Yes, isn't it exciting that the Blazers are doing so well? Your husband was lucky he got to see that game! My hubby watched it on tv and said it was great. We went to the Cavaliers game last Wednesday night. Woo-hoo! Go Blazers!

    1. Hi Linda,
Got to love the Blazers this season. A complete and welcome surprise!

Not only Bob saw them, his son (Randall) and I got to go too! It was such an exciting game. We had our own little Blazer cheering section because some other Blazer fans sat in the same row we did. Very fun. But definitely in enemy territory. I guess some Spurs fans weren't very happy with us as crumpled up paper towels and napkins were thrown down at us a couple of time. Oh well. We had the last laugh.

  2. Reminds of a neighbor we once had who complained about our dogs humping. I'd finally had enough of this woman and told her she might learn something that would make her husband smile. We never spoke again :-) Don't work too hard !
