Today, Peri and I met at Holiday Inn Express on Cesar Chavez Blvd. in San Antonio, the start point for today's World Walking Day Volksmarch of downtown. This is basically
the same walk Susan, Darren and I did on Wednesday.
Again, the weather was perfect. Cool temperatures to start, with breezes along the way to keep us comfortable. Carol, Susan's friend we met on the Wimberley walk, caught up with us and we all walked together. Susan wasn't walking with us today as she volunteered to work one of the checkpoints. (Thanks, Susan!)

Bill Miller Bar-B-Q HQ is in San Antonio. We joked about the water tower pictured below being filled with barbeque sauce and there's a big straw on top to suck it up.

After the walk, Peri and I went to lunch at
La Margarita Restaurant in Market Square. She had a huge taco salad and I had Garnachas - three corn tacos filled with shredded beef, rolled, lightly grilled, topped with shredded Monterey Jack cheese and served with pico de gallo, guacamole, Spanish rice and refried beans. Something new for me. I really enjoyed it.

So ended another beautiful 10K walk.
You can be in the same area on a number of occasions and still see something new.
