Blogging from A to Z Reflections Post 2012 -- Wed., Apr. 9

If you followed this blog in April, hopefully you caught on that I was doing the A-to-Z Blogging Challenge 2012. Each day my blog focused on a letter of the alphabet.

This post tells you what I thought of the process.

I plan to do this challenge again next year. My brainwaves went into overdrive some days to come up with a word or phrase that resonated with me and, hopefully, with you, my readers/followers.

The biggest obstacle I had to overcome was connecting to the internet. You see, we live in our RV and travel. During most of April, we were in areas with limited or no internet connectivity so I typed my entries into Word.

When we stayed at an RV park with internet service, I was able to copy and paste my entries from Word into the blog. It worked out and I'm happy with my entries.

I did my best to visit other blogs, but that was hard to do, again because of no, slow or limited connectivity. I did visit about 25 other blogs. Happily, the list of other challenge participants will be up all year so I can leisurely peruse them as I have time.

My biggest surprise was discovering a second entry for "X" which is a difficult letter to work with. My first X entry was "The Letter X." While out on a volkswalk in Kerrville, Texas, my husband and I went to a nature center. One of the displays was about xeriscaping, landscaping in a dry climate. Bingo, another X entry!

The April alphabet challenge was a success. I've made new friends and hope to continue the trend as I read more of the challenge entries. A few new readers subscribed to my site and I'd like that trend to continue as well.

  1. I noticed the same thing - how I had multiple ideas for letters I thought would be hard, and struggled with easier letters. I guess that's how writing works, huh?

  2. Count me in as a new follower to this site. I missed you during the Challenge but have discovered you through the Reflections. Getting around to read all of the posts of everyone who was a part of this event is the biggest Challenge of all. I love travel and did a blog about travel also. Hope we'll be crossing paths in our future travels.

  4. P.S. How did you get from Poland to the Yukon? What a journey! Have you blogged about that? If so, I'd like to read it.

I love Zoom Zoom and the floss. My cats love "dental floss playtime." They sit at my feet when I'm flossing my teeth and when I'm done I play with them with the floss. I think Sunnie, my orange cat, actually likes the minty flavor. He "flosses" his teeth when we play. LOL.
