Columbia River Gorge - Thurs., Sept. 26 - Part 2

A trip to Hood River wouldn't be complete without taking the scenic highway to see many waterfalls. Here is a pictorial of our stops along the Highway 30, AKA the Historic Columbia River Gorge Highway, or simply, the scenic highway...

  1. Our next stop was the Columbia River Gorge when a medical issue forced us to return to PA. We enjoyed it thru your photo's. We will get there some day.

    1. Yes, I read about the medical issue. That's sad when you are forced to stop traveling and take care of medical issues, but I understand it has to be done.

Definitely do come back to Oregon to see the Gorge. The best time is May or June when the falls are fullest, but that's also when you're likely to get rained on.

  2. Thanks for the tour, can't wait to see it again in October, hopefully it won't be as crowded this time.

  3. The Gorge is my favorite spot in all of Oregon! It's always fun to see other stories and photos about this special place. Looks like you're having a great trip - too bad the weather is going to be lousy this weekend. I'd planned to go hiking, but maybe not.... :(

    1. Linda,
Where in Oregon are you located? Do you have time to get together on Monday, Sept. 30?

    2. I live in Beaverton, but work in downtown Portland (Portland Bldg). I'll be at work on Monday. Maybe lunch?

    3. Lunch would be perfect. What time works for you? Where do you want to meet? If you want to send me an email address, I preview all comments and will not post your comment with that information.

  4. All your pictures are so beautiful. I haven't been in that area but that would be worth the trip. Just spectacular.

    1. This truly is a "gorge"ous part of the country we live in. Worth seeing.
