The morning was hot and humid so I was whiny as soon as we started. I'm not a big fan of humidity.
The first part of our walk followed a busy street for a long way before we turned off into the neighborhoods. We passed a city xeriscape garden. Right next to the garden, a large utility pole provided one of the more interesting sights on our walk: a beautifully painted flowering vine.
Pretty art on the high tension wire pole. |

The walks through the neighborhoods were the best part. Architecture, landscaping, flowers, trees, and trying not to get our feet wet kept us entertained.
Our walk instructions told us to cross a creek bed, but stated if the water was flowing over the raised concrete walkway, to take the optional route, which we did. The water was flowing over the creek crossing point and the concrete looked mossy and slippery. I didn't feel like getting my feet wet or potentially falling and getting all wet. (Some of you think I'm all wet already. LOL.)
After the walk, we each headed in our own direction. I needed gas and some groceries at Costco, so I headed there.
All for today. Travel Bug out.
That is so neat on the utility pole. Love that :)
ReplyDeleteI thought it was pretty awesome too.
