Bob reading his sister's book at our hotel on Maui. (2009) |
For example, Bob knows how much I enjoyed the movie "Divergent." (I saw it twice.) I said how much I'd love to read the trilogy of books. Yesterday while working my temp job at the insurance office, out of the blue Bob walked in and handed me the "Divergent" trilogy of books. What a sweetheart.
On days I work at the RV park, Bob drives my Escape pod to work. Today he brought it home full of gas and he had it washed.
One time, when we lived in Portland, Oregon, Bob called me at work on Friday afternoon and said, "Go to the airport, you have a ticket waiting for you to get on a plane. I'm in Bend [Oregon] and I want you to join me." Totally unexpected and very much appreciated. He had packed a suitcase for me, so all I had to do was go to the airport, get on the plane, and we had a wonderful weekend.
We communicate well and make decisions together. He loves cats, helps with the housework, makes incredibly tasty chicken enchiladas, enjoys traveling, goes on Volksmarches with me, kills spiders, investigates things that go bump in the night, works hard, and keeps me on my toes. I can't imagine life without him.
I love you, Bob. Let's double our time together. I'm ready for another 31 years.
