Dodgers vs. Texas Rangers - Friday, March 20, 2015

Well the day has finally come. We get to use Bob's birthday present...tickets to see the L.A. Dodgers vs. the Texas Rangers in an exhibition game at the Alamodome in San Antonio!

Bob picked me up after work and whisked me off to the Alamodome. Before the game started, I had enough time to eat a hotdog at the arena. Bob wasn't hungry because he had a late lunch.  Our seats were along the third base line.

Good view from our third-base-line seats. It was interesting watching a baseball game in an indoor dome. A number of hits hit the ceiling. Because the Alamodome wasn't made for baseball, quite a few homeruns were hit as well.

We walked the inside of the arena and stopped for a burger and fries. The fries were excellent; Bob helped me eat them. Actually they gave us so many fries, we couldn't eat them all! We stopped in the center outfield seats to eat and had a completely different view.

While we were in the arena, it poured rain outside. We saw from the doors as we made our way around the arena. We left before the 7th inning stretch.

It was drizzly when we exited the arena and we had quite a few puddles to negotiate around as we drove home. I was able to get a good night-time photo of the Alamodome with the Tower of the Americas on the side.

That's all for today.
