Checking In -- Tues., Feb. 12

Alive and kickin'. Haven't done too much the past couple of days so this is a brief synopsis.

Yesterday Bob and I went to a meeting. He went back to work and I went home and did the laundry. Bob made it home in time to help me finish folding laundry and haul it into the back of my Escape pod.

Today was senior day at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo which meant free grounds admission; however when I woke up it was raining and that put a damper on my enthusiasm to go there. I am hoping for better weather NEXT Tuesday and I'll try again.

Tonight, Bob brought home Chinese take out. We had cashew chicken, chicken egg foo young, rice, and another chicken dish (can't remember what it was called).  It was pretty good, but somewhat bland.

Our Netflix selection tonight was "The Simple Life of Noah Dearborn" starring Sidney Poitier and Dianne Wiest. The movie was pleasant and predictable; we enjoyed it a lot. I love Sidney Poitier.

Tomorrow is a luncheon date with other RV'ing ladies at Zio's Italian Kitchen in Universal City, Texas at 12:30 p.m. If you're in San Antonio, come and join us.

Thursday is Valentine's Day and I am kidnapping Bob for a date at night. I can't tell you what it is until after we go as it is a surprise (and he reads my blog).

Update on my temporary crowns: What a difference they have made already. My jaw feels much more stable now that the broken tooth gap is filled in. Most of the pain is gone. I'm so happy about this. It will be a joy to finally have my permanent crowns in 1-1/2 weeks.

Have a good Wednesday, y'all.

Travel Bug feeling Texan. (Warning: Stop reading now if you don't want to see cat photos.)

Sunnie and Bowie
Sunnie and Bowie--best buds.
Can you believe Bowie was abused as a kitten? He is so serene now and a total love.

"What's that noise? I'm alert now."
"That noise" was someone checking into the site next to us at 10:15 p.m. They weren't exactly quiet about it. Luckily we were both awake so no worries.

  2. Your cats are just gorgeous! Abused! Oh I can't imagine...the thought makes me sick. I do NOT see how anyone can abuse an animal they are so innocent, just like babies. Yours sure don't look abused LOL So happy to hear your jaw is better.

  4. It does sadden me to know there are abused animals in this world. We have rescued 4 pups and we know that 2 of them were abused. In fact the furry pup.....Sally....was scheduled to put down. That's why we have 4! Your kitties are beautiful. I am convinced they don't forget, and do so appreciate your love and respect for them.

Enjoy your lunch with the ladies. Can't wait to hear about your date surprise later.

  6. It sometimes seems that animals that have been abused but then find a good home know they are safe. They are really sweet. Your cats are super cute.
