When it rains, it pours. Some weeks life drones on like your ship is stuck in the doldrums. Then there's the past few days.
First, I was asked to be a guest blogger on CoffeyTalk.com under her "Articles and Information" button where I am in the "Travel and Transportation" category. The blog is honorary, no pay involved, but she has a readership of 20,000. If even a hundred readers find their way to my blog, that's pretty cool.
Next I got hired part-time at our RV park office. I start Thursday. It's only one to two days per week, but I'll be learning the reservation system, office procedures, selling items from the store, taking payment for propane, stocking shelves, dusting, filing, organizing, you name it...whatever needs to be done.
No sooner had I accepted the RV park job, when a temp agency called to ask if I could take a four-week assignment as an admin assistant. We discussed it and I was honest with her that I am starting a part-time job on Thursday.
The job the temp agency offered me is 30 minutes away, even the recruiter said that's pretty far to go. I told her I am very interested in temp work and my day here at the RV park is flexible so I could work on Saturday. She will keep looking for a position for me, but closer to where we are.
Now that's the kind of news that lifts my spirits.
