We survived the storm yesterday. By the time Bob came home from work at 10:30 pm, our "lake" had drained and he did not have to wade to the steps. For short periods, we had "lakefront" views. In fact our 5th wheel (5er) was an island in said "lake."
Today, we had more drenching downpours. Waterfalls flew off the sloped awnings at the RV park office. We felt sorry for the FedEx driver, people checking into the RV park who had to run through the rain, and the postal carrier. They looked miserable.
In addition to the heavy rains, the temperature was 90 with high humidity. Thank goodness for air conditioning.
By the time I returned to the 5er at 6:30 p.m., the water had receded so I did not have to get my feet wet. I was happy for that.
The good news is: the San Antonio area is receiving much-needed rainfall. In 2013, rainfall to date is 22"; normal year to date is 14.5". San Antonio is up 6.5" for the year.
Not much else to report.
Here's the fur-kids watching their favorite "reality entertainment."

Your header is sure a nice picture of the two of you
ReplyDeleteThanks, Betty.
DeleteThese storms are a blessing but not fun getting that blessing. Glad you didn't float away.
ReplyDeleteWe are heading east for a year. It is going to be VERY difficult after a year of dry air. I am so not looking forward to being damp all the time. Counting the days til we are west again.
Stay dry!!
So thankful Texas is getting much needed rain. Those kittys are so cute.
ReplyDeleteYour fur-kids are so cute. All that rain with that heat sounds miserable. I miss TX slightly less for the moment.
ReplyDeleteI literally sat in my mail truck and cried on one of those rainy, drippy days when it just wouldn't stop. . .so yes. . .I can tell you for a fact. . .all the delivery drivers were having a miserable day. . .bless their hearts!
ReplyDeleteGlad you guys survived okay. . .my Dad was telling me how bad SA was getting hammered, so I told him I would try to find a weather report. . .it's easier getting updates from you though. . .thanks!
