11th Hour Congressional Decision Keeps Federal Government Open (for Now) - Wed., Sep. 30, 2015

Today was the day the federal government had to decide if they would stay open or close. A stopgap spending measure was passed at the last minute to keep the government open. However, there will be another "shutdown showdown" in December.

Stay tuned for more budget loony tunes.

  1. The Government needs to STOP playing with people's lives and do their job. What is the point of postponing it till December. They had plenty of time to do the right thing.

    1. I'm with you all the way on this issue. It's complete insanity. I truly believe we need to take our country back from the current politicians and go back to a more cooperative group. Plus, somehow the American people need to pass laws to change the entitlement people in positions of power are voting in for themselves. It's not right! They need to pay all the taxes, not get special treatment or paychecks for life just because they were in politics.

  2. The last time they closed the park was when I finally got my boyfriend to take a vacation...to Yellowstone. We got one day in the park after driving for two days to get there. I was/still am because in a week, we're heading out for RMNP...maybe it's my boyfriend that causes this??? hahaha

    1. I remember reading your blogs about your frustration when that happened! Let's not blame it on the boyfriend. It's all the government ineptitude.
