Henderson, NV:
The air bed is getting worse. We again filled it about four times during the night when:
a) we felt like we were both rolling out of the same side of the bed;
b) we woke up folded in the middle, i.e., our bodies were in a "V" shape--heads and feet up in the air, butt down on the ground;
c) we were mattress hot dogs;
d) I felt like I was being absorbed by a pod from "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." I was in the middle of the bed almost on the floor, both sides of the air bed were enclosing me and the fitted sheet snapped over my head! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaack! I had to disentangle myself from the sheets, blankets and bed to roll out onto the floor.After a leisurely breakfast, Bob and I took off for Camping World. For Christmas we received some Camping World gift cards. We went to look, not sure what we would buy. I found a nice, over-the-sink, thick, hard plastic cutting board, some mesh drains to keep hair and food debris out of our grey water tanks, silverware holder, and outdoor thermometer.
Our journey continued with a drive to the new bridge which bypasses Hoover Dam. We could not believe the traffic jam going into Boulder City. It was around noon and it seemed everyone had the same idea. When we saw the solid line of cars going to the dam and visitor center, we opted to stay on the bypass bridge, crossed over into Arizona, then turned around and went back to Bob's mom's house. We decided if we wanted to walk onto the bridge and go to the dam visitor's center, we would go back early on Wednesday morning before the crowds descended.
Tuesday afternoon we hung out at Bob's sister's house.
Tuesday evening we headed over to north Las Vegas to visit our good friends, Kris and Rich and their two Siamese kitties, Carly and Taylor. Such a nice visit. We got to see the new Pergo floor they're putting in so Kris will have a nice dance studio, as well as their new downstairs sun room/"kitty playroom" addition. I got to spend time playing with the kitties while we talked with Kris and Rich. For dinner, we headed out to the "Three Angry Wives Pub" where we had an excellent meal. Thank you Kris and Rich for sharing your home and kitties with us.
